Depreciation Reports and Schedules
If you own a residential investment property you can claim depreciation. We provide the Depreciation Schedule and Special Building Write Off estimates that are required by the ATO. Your accountant will be able to use this report to save you money at tax time.
Certain kinds of construction expenditure on residential rental properties can be deducted from income. This deduction will return you a substantial refund. Refunds go on for up to 40 years.
Bacchus Partners provide an estimate of eligible construction costs. Special Building Write Off Estimates is based on the cost of construction at the time the work commenced.
We also provide a Depreciation Schedule for other items, not eligible to be included in the Special Building Write Off Estimate. Other items include carpet, stove and hot water units etc. The value of these is estimated for the date when the property became available for rent.
